Would you like to attract even more talents and reduce the number of abandoned applications at the same time? Take advantage of WhatsApp by integrating this modern recruiting channel into your application process with the help of the Application Manager.

WhatsApp integration

To offer the application via WhatsApp, add the corresponding button to your job template. To do this, go to "Settings" (1) > "Jobs" (2) > "Job templates" (3) and create a job template with our Job Ad Designer (4). Of course, you can also update an existing template. In this case, click on "Edit" (5) next to the desired template.  Under "Basic components" (6) you will find the "Apply via WhatsApp" button (7). Insert it into your job ad template using drag & drop (8).

The application process via WhatsApp

Once you have posted your job, everyone has the option to submit the application via WhatsApp.

After your candidates have pressed the "Apply via WhatsApp" button on their smartphone, the WhatsApp application opens. If the job ad is opened on the computer, a QR code is displayed that can be scanned with the cell phone. This also takes your talents to the application via WhatsApp.

Please note that due to the business policy of Meta Platforms (owner of WhatsApp), PitchYou is not allowed to act on behalf of others. For this reason, candidates will see the PitchYou logo next to the phone number on WhatsApp. However, it is clear from the welcome text which company candidates are applying to.

Now WhatsApp will automatically request the following information:

• First and last name
• Email address
• CV
• All custom questions that you have defined in your application process. Exceptions: Questions with the answer type "File" and "Video" are not asked. However, it generally asks if the applicant would like to upload an image of a certificate or credential.

The displayed language depends on the browser of the applicant. Basically, all languages that you have in Application Manager will be provided. If a language is not available, the translation will be provided via Google Translator.

Once the relevant data has been submitted, a candidate profile is created in Application Manager, which is marked with a WhatsApp icon to the left of the photo. 

If someone does not complete the application, he/she will receive a reminder via WhatsApp after one hour to complete the application.

Further communication with your talents will take place via Application Manager, as usual.
