Read this article to learn how you, as an admin, can customise notification settings for access groups.
Access groups
Access groups allow you as an administrator to specify access rights and notification options for your different user segments.
Personal profiles and their notification settings are not visible to you as an administrator. As a result, you may not be able to check why, for example, a person is not seeing a new message. For this reason, we recommend that you adapt the settings to your company's internal processes in advance and, if necessary, block users from editing or deactivating them.
You can find the access groups at "Settings" (1) > "Access management" (2) > "Access groups" (3). We have pre-configured some access groups for you by default. Feel free to modify these to suit your needs. Read our articles "Access groups in onlyfy Application Manager" and "Standardized access groups in onlyfy Application Manager" for more details.
Depending on the onlyfy price plan you have selected, you can also create additional groups using "Add access group" button (4). To edit an existing group, click on the "Edit" button (5).
Notification settings
To adjust the notification settings, click on the three dots next to the desired access group (1) and then on the "Edit" button (2).
The next screen allows you to set the default settings for each access group. There are three options for each setting:
- "Default": How should the access group be notified?
- "Editable": Is the access group allowed to change the default settings?
- "Allow disabling": Is the access group allowed to deactivate the settings?
The details of these settings are explained in the following chapters.
How should the access group be notified?
Select the type of notification from the drop-down menu at "Default". You can select from the following options:
- In-app
- E-mail and In-app
- DonĀ“t notify
Is the access group allowed to change the default settings?
Determine whether the users in the access group may change the default settings you have defined by activating or deactivating the button under "Editable".
Is the access group allowed to deactivate the settings?
Use the "Allow disabling" column to decide whether the users in the access group may deactivate the respective settings.
