Our products give you the ability to refine complex searches with Boolean operators to find exactly the talent in your candidate list that matches your requirements.
What are Boolean search operators?
You have a long list of talents, but are looking for specific skills? In addition to helpful filters, the free text search allows you to narrow or broaden your search by combining or excluding certain terms. These terms are called Boolean operators.
See below for a list of the most common operators:
Search operator | Description | Examples |
---|---|---|
AND | The results include all the terms you searched for. Usually narrows down your search results. | Senior Backend Developer AND AWS |
OR | The results contain one or more of the searched terms. Usually expands your search results. | Sales OR Account Executive |
NOT | Excludes search terms from the results. Usually restricts your search results. | Developer NOT Manager |
() | For structuring complex search queries and search term combinations. | Mobile Developer NOT (junior OR Android) |
"" | The results include the exact search term in the inverted commas. Usually narrows down your search results. | "react" AND "angular" |
