In order to enable a quick start with the Application Manager, we have compiled some useful tips on the topic of recruiting in this article.
Job templates
Benefit from our expertise by using one of the two job templates ― designed by us ― for your job ads: "Modern" and "Creative".
Simply select the job templates when creating a new job under "Job ad" (1) > "Template" (2).
People with admin rights can also edit the templates in "Settings" (1) > "Jobs" (2) > "Job templates" (3).
Job creation with the help of automation
With the help of the automatic features of Application Manager, you can create job ads easily and intuitively. For example, enter the first three letters in the "Job title" field and the matching titles are automatically displayed in a list.
Once you have selected the title, the skills matching the job are automatically displayed under "Skills". Select one or more skills by clicking on the corresponding field. Of course, you can also enter your own skills.

Test the application process
In order to implement an optimal application process, we recommend that you test your own processes by applying for your jobs yourself.
Please note that the e-mail address in Application Manager serves as the user ID, so you can only apply once with your e-mail address. However, you can get around this logic in your tests by using the following trick: create a "new" e-mail address (so-called alias address) from your e-mail address using the plus sign. Take your e-mail address, add a plus sign after your name and before the @ symbol, as well as any word. For example:
- Your e-mail address: max.mustermann@mycompany.com
- New alternative e-mail address: max.mustermann+recruiter@mycompany.com
The e-mail address will be recognized as a new e-mail address by Application Manager and you can re-apply. You will receive the notifications as usual to your original e-mail address.
Multiposting
Multiposting helps you increase your reach by posting the job ads on several job portals at the same time. This not only helps you find the right talent faster, but also reduces your processing time.
We will be happy to advise you on this feature and activate it for you. Please contact your personal contact person or our Customer Service team directly. As soon as the function has been activated in your account, you can book your job ads through our external multiposting partners via the "Multiposting provider" button.

XING Basic job ads
With Application Manager, you have various options for reaching out to talents. One of these options is to place free XING Basic job ads. These job ads also appear automatically via Google for Jobs, as XING is a launch partner of Google.
You can activate XING Basic ads during the job creation process. Go to "Publish" (1) > "Promote for free" (2) > "XING Basic" and click on "Manage" (3). In the next window, enter the desired publishing date (4) and ― if desired ― adjust the settings. Activate the booking via the button "Book now" (5).
