Use the plugin to display the talents from Honeypot who have accepted your interview invite in onlyfy Application Manager. In this article, we will show you step by step how to activate the plugin.
Prepare Honeypot plugin in Application Manager

Please note that any kind of plugin can only be set up by a user with admin rights for onlyfy.

Log in to onlyfy Application Manager and follow the steps below to activate the Honeypot plugin in Application Manager.
Step 1: Create an application source
Go to ´Settings´ (1) > ´Applications´ (2) > ´Application sources´ (3) and click on ´Add an application source´ (4). Type ´honeypot´ as the title in the ´Application source title´ field (5). Please make sure you use the prescribed spelling!
The function ´Make this selectable for candidates´ (6) is optional. If you would like to activate it, click on the button next to it.
Finally, save the changes. (7)
Step 2: Create Rest API key
Go to ´Settings´ (1) > ´Integrations´ (2) > ´Rest API´ (3) and click on ´Create new API key´ (4). Now please fill in the fields below:
- ´API key name´ (5): Choose a name for the API key. The name is freely selectable. You can also call it "Honeypot".
- ´Reporting name´ (6): The reporting name will be assigned as acquisition channel to all applications and will appear in all source tracking statistics and reports. You are free to choose the name. If you like, you can also call it "Honeypot".
- Access options (7): It is not necessary to change any of the options.
Finally, save the changes. (8).
The API key will be created automatically. Copy it and paste it into your Honeypot account. See section "Activate the onlyfy plugin at Honeypot" for the steps in this article.
Activate the onlyfy plugin at Honeypot
Login with your Honeypot credentials to your Honeypot account at https://app.honeypot.io/company/edit-profile/ats. Now click on ´Connect´ (1) at onlyfy and enter the following data in the next step:
- ´API Key´ (2): Enter the API key from Application Manager (s. Step 2 above) into this field.
- ´Your subdomain´ (3): Enter your company name here as it appears at onlyfy.
Attention! Please enter only the name of your account, the other parameters such as "https://" are already filled in.
To complete the integration, click on "Connect" (4).

You can find the exact name of your account in the onlyfy Application Manager under ´Settings´ (1) > ´Integrations´ (2) > ´Candidate center´ (3). The name can be found in the link (4) directly under ´Introduction´.

Find talents via Honeypot
Step 1: Create a position at Honeypot
After you have activated the plugin and created the job in Application Manager, you also create the open position at Honeypot.
To do this, go to „Positions“ (1) at Honeypot and click on „Create position“ (2).
Fill in the following two mandatory fields:
- ´Position name´ (1): Enter the job title from Application Manager here.
- ´Where are you hiring´ (2): Enter the location where you are looking for new talents.
Now create the position by clicking on ´Create new position´ at the bottom of the page.
Step 2: Searching for talents
Now search for suitable talents by clicking on ´Search Talents´ in the menu at the top.
Click on the talent of your choice for more information.
Step 3: Contact talents
Once you have identified a suitable talent, invite he·she for an interview. Click ´Invite to interview´ (1) and complete the form (2). Attention! Select the job that you have first stored in Application Manager and then at Honeypot under ´Sync with ATS position´ (3).
When you are finished, click on 'Preview & send' (4).
In the final step, you will be given the opportunity to read your message to your talent one more time (1). Now send the message by clicking on ´Send invite´ (2) in the top right corner.

We recommend that you complete your profile on Honeypot fully to make it easier for talents to choose you.

Honeypot talents in Application Manager
Once a person has accepted your invite, their profile for that job will appear in Application Manager under ´Your Candidates´.
